Cape Town Marathon Experience Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cape Town
Friday, 21 May 2027
Arrive at Cape Town International Airport, where you will be met for a private road transfer to your hotel. After check-in at 15:00, the rest of the day is yours to relax and begin enjoying the atmosphere of Cape Town.
Lunch is at your own account, and in the evening you may choose to dine at one of Cape Town’s many excellent restaurants, also at your own account.
Overnight: Portswood Hotel, Standard Room, Bed and Breakfast
Day 2: Table Mountain and Race Expo
Saturday, 22 May 2027
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before heading out for a memorable visit to Table Mountain via the cableway. Take in the spectacular views over the city and coastline before continuing to the Marathon Expo to collect your race numbers.
The afternoon is at leisure, giving you time to rest, explore, or simply prepare for race day. Lunch and dinner are at your own account.

Day 3: Cape Town Marathon Day
Sunday, 23 May 2027
An early breakfast pack will be supplied by the hotel to prepare you for the big day. Walk to the start of the Cape Town Marathon and enjoy the excitement of race day in one of the world’s most scenic running destinations.
After the marathon, lunch is at your own account. Return to the hotel at your own pace and relax for the remainder of the day. Dinner is also at your own account.

Day 4: Cape Peninsula Tour
Monday, 24 May 2027
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day tour of the stunning Cape Peninsula. Highlights include Seal Island, the dramatic coastal drive along Chapman’s Peak, and Boulders Beach, home to the famous African penguins.
Continue to Cape Point Nature Reserve, where you will enjoy the funicular return trip and lunch. Drinks are for your own account. This is a spectacular day of scenic beauty, wildlife, and unforgettable ocean views.
Dinner is at your own account.

Day 5: Departure
Tuesday, 25 May 2027
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and a final morning at leisure before your departure. Lunch is at your own account.
