COMMENTS FROM PAST PARTICIPANTS

Well, my Mom and I had a great, great time in Italy!! The marathon went well and the rest of the trip was awesome. Thanks for all your work getting this booked. The hotels were all FABULOUS!! The Rome bus tour was a great way to meet the others and we all went to the marathon start together.

The trip went beautifully and the weather for the marathon was near perfect. Your selection of hotels was great - I'd recommend them to anyone.
Thank you very much!
Bill

The arrangements that you made for our first trip to Italy were perfect! The hotels you selected...and their locations.. were great. The companies that you used to provide transportation to and from each city were efficient, courteous, and timely. During the trip planning process, Leroy felt that the transfer fees were unnecessary. However, in the middle of our trip, he thanked me (and you) for including the transfer service in our package.
Because of your thorough planning, Leroy and I have a wonderful, worry-free vacation.
Ciao,
Dorothy

I was recently looking at pictures from Italy, and once again wanted to thank you for putting everything together to make this trip possible. Last year when I had this idea to do a marathon, that was really only half the battle. Not loosing site of all the training and effort it took to mentally and physically prepare for the race itself, but the same effort had to be used to prepare for the traveling portion. Your expertise in finding the places that fit best into what a traveler might want to see was incredible.
I really enjoyed our time out in Italy and having the opportunity to experience such an amazing well rounded excursion! As an administrative assistant, I understand the amount of work and stress it takes to make the end result go smoothly. You were upfront about all costs and even took the extra step to advise when the airfare was the cheapest.
Sue, as the new year approaches, I am just trying to decide where the next destination shall be. I look forward to coordinating with you on this next adventure!
Take care,
Alicia

ROME MARATHON

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Rome Marathon course covers all the major tourist attractions of the Eternal City. It is a fast relatively flat course.

A path of wonder.  Rome, in all its early Spring splendour, is ready to welcome each participant.

From the start, passing through the historic piazzas of the Capital: Piazza Venezia with the Campidoglio, Piazza del Popolo with the Pincio, Piazza Navona with its fountains, Piazza di Spagna with Trinità dei Monti, to the great places of worship - Saint Peter's, the Synagogue, and the Mosque - and the heart of sport represented by the Foro Italico complex with the Olympic Stadium - running through the reminders of Rome's glorius past like the Pantheon, the Circus Maximus, the Ara Pacis of Augustus, the Theatre of Marcellus, the Pyramid of Cestio, the Baths of Caracalla, and past the lovely colour and delightful sounds of the splashing Trevi Fountains, of the Barcaccia, of the Rivers and so on to the triumphant arrival at the Colosseum, the Arch of Costantine, the Forum of Rome and the Imperial Forums; it is all a succession of images which remain imprinted on the memory of each entrant.
