As in all the previous editions racers will be immersed in a breathtaking landscape.  During each edition racers crossed the Argentinian and Chilean Andes through a different border crossing. The first edition took place in 2002, starting in Penitentes, Province of Mendoza and finishing in Portillo, crossing the Andes through the Cristo Redentor border. In 2003 the race started in Villa Pehuenia, Province of Neuquen and finished in Icama, crossing through the Icama border crossing. In 2004 racers started in Pucón, Chile and finished in the Lanin Volcano in Neuquen, Argentina, crossing through the Tromen border. In 2005 Racers started in Catritre, Neuquen, Argentina and reached the finishing line in Puerto Pirihueico in Chile through the Hua-Hum crossing. And in 2006 the race started in Cerro Bayo in Villa La Angostura crossing the Andes through Cardenal Samoré. And last year racers started in Trevelin and reached the traditional town of Futaleufú, in the region X in Chile.

The spirit of Columbia Cruce de los Andes is to live 3 days immersed in the Andes, sharing with friends and colleagues and experiencing a profound contact with nature and sport. The mountainous landscapes surrounded by lakes, glaciers, mountains and volcanoes are considered of unique beauty worldwide, and participants have the priviledge of trekking the Andes safely, due to the important oganization behind this major event.

During this new edition  Mascardi Lake, Manso river, and the impressive  Tronador Peak will give Columbia Cruce de los Andes an unforgettable frame. Camping on the shores of Mascardi Lake and in Pampa Linda near Tronador Peak, will be an incredible experience for all the adventurous racers that will defy this spectacular course!!!
